At Luna Desktop Dog Companion (“we,” “our,” or “the Application”), we believe your desktop is your private personal space. We have engineered Luna with an unconditional offline-first philosophy. The Application does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data, telemetry, analytics, or behavioral information whatsoever.
To operate natively across your windows and respond to your work rhythm, Luna interacts with limited system-level events in real-time right on your computer. All processing happens strictly locally on your device in real-time:
The Application reads the current `(X, Y)` coordinates of your mouse cursor to allow Luna’s eyes and head to follow your movements, or to let her fetch a tennis ball. We do NOT record, save, log, or transmit where you click, what applications you have open, what windows you view, or any screenshots of your screen. Coordinates are processed purely in random access memory (RAM) and are immediately discarded every frame.
The Application detects keypress event timestamps (the exact time a key was pressed) to calculate your typing speed in Words Per Minute (WPM). We do NOT record, read, log, or store which keys you press or the content of what you type.No passwords, text, messages, or characters are ever captured or inspected. Keystroke timestamps are used solely to trigger Luna's “Coding Mode” animation and are kept in short-term rolling memory (last 4 seconds) before being discarded.
Your Tamagotchi gameplay progress—including care points, pet mood, and unlocked wardrobe accessories (bowtie, shades, crown)—is stored locally on your device's filesystem. This data remains strictly on your computer and is never synced to external servers or third parties.
Because Luna Desktop Dog does not collect or transmit any data, we do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any information to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. The Application contains no tracking scripts, telemetry SDKs, advertising networks, or cloud synchronization servers.
If you visit our official website or choose to support Luna's development by “buying a coffee” or making a voluntary patronage contribution, payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, an independent third-party payment processor. All financial transactions occur securely on the web via Stripe’s encrypted checkout system. The Luna Desktop Dog application itself does not process payments or have access to your credit card, billing, or financial details. For more information, please review the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Because Luna Desktop Dog collects absolutely zero data, our software is inherently safe and privacy-respecting for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or store personal information from anyone.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time if new features are added to Luna Desktop Dog. However, our fundamental commitment will never change: we will never add telemetry, data tracking, or remote analytics to the core desktop companion. Any updates will be posted directly on our public repository and website.
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding this Privacy Policy or how Luna Desktop Dog respects your privacy, please contact us via our official releases repository:
